Facts. Students love learning new, amazing facts about the world they live in. I’ve always been amazed at how almost every student is interested in the Guinness World Records. It’s a highly motivating topic for a lesson and it is essentially one that is all about facts, factual knowledge.
Teachers can use facts in many ways as a lesson theme.
Trivia or quiz games to test student knowledge.
Research. Students research a topic and share facts about it with the class.
True or false. Share facts and students must vote, decide if true or false.
Student knowledge. Students share interesting facts they know and then discuss further.
In the Lesson Library we have many resources to use as a starting point for a fact based lesson. Here are just a few top mentions.
