It's Valentine's is here but any time is a good time for a lesson about love. All you need is "love", right?

Love springs eternal and for me, it should spring eternal in our curriculums and lesson plans. Just like peace should - a topic for another day.
We have so many fine lesson resources on the topic of love, or just Valentine’s Day. Here are a few suggestions for lessons on the topic.

What is love? It’s not as easy to define as you would think. Ask students their opinions, maybe use this wonderful video from 7 Billion others with many people sharing their own thoughts. Maybe write a poem to express what it is? There are many possibilities.
What do you love? Ask students to share all the things they love, deeply, madly. Get to know each other by sharing “love”.
What is there to love about me? Students share things that are special about themselves. See this template.
Videos about love. There are so many possibilities. A few of my favorites are George and Rosemary, Paperman and Split Screen. Or why not get students to make a video in English that is a love story? See this inspiring example.
Songs about love. Again, so, so many, thousands. My absolute favorite for lower levels is Mr. Morton Is The Subject Of The Sentence. He falls in love with a girl named Pearl. L-O-V-E is a true classic too. Listen to the song and get students to make their own acrostic poem, 4 sentences using L-O-V-E. Check out the many songs (use the tag “love” then filter by “songs”) in our lesson library - like Justin, teachers love ‘em, like a love song.
