Do you know about Project Gutenberg? It’s a free, totally copyright free, repository of books in the public domain. 1,000s that you are free to access, read, consume and most importantly for us - create with.
We’ve begun bringing back to life many of these wonderful stories, poems, nursery rhymes. All the classics. The Little Red Hen. The 3 Pigs. Old Mother Hubbard. Little Red Riding Hood. The Peter Pan Alphabet. A Frog Went A Wooing and many more. Find them all on our YouTube channel, in this playlist (please subscribe!).
Subscribers can get the PPTx versions of our creations to use, through the link here. Of course, for each book, we have supporting materials and just do a search in the Lesson Library for the title or theme/topic.
We think in this new push for AI, to stick with the one thing that remains tied to the soul of learning … real human creation and the store house of human creativity. Of course, at times leveling is appropriate but when it is tied to narrative, to stories and storytelling - we really don’t need to. The story will act as the scaffold. Particularly with Gutenberg stories, many already known by students in their L1.
So we hope you enjoy these “re-creations”. We are working on a production of My Father’s Dragon as we speak/write. Beautiful illustrations and all.
