It is really wonderful when you get students individually or in pairs/groups working independently AND learning English at the same time. It’s fundamental to good teaching - teachers seek their own demise.

Giving students the opportunity to research a subject by providing them with a nice, easy-to-follow template, helps this process.

Students fill out the template and the categories and then if time permits, get students to make a short presentation about their topic.

Make sure to provide students with an example to start. So present the template with some completed information so they know what you are looking for in terms of research.
