Talking About Our Mothers
What do we thank our mothers for?
Mothers’ Day is upon us and here is a nice teaching recipe for this occasion but any day or lesson is great for talking about our mothers!
It’s a video-based lesson. Simply start the lesson by writing on the board - “Thank you mom/mum for …”
Elicit student responses and start with your own. Students will learn the …ing form follows “Thank you for”
After, watch the video and have students note some things that people in the video thanked their mother for.
A follow-up would be to write out cards or letters to mothers. Or, discuss different aspects of being a mother. Or, write/discuss and compare our mothers. See some of the templates in this lesson resource for the video.
