The Learning Journey
We always teach two things. 1. What - the content and 2. How - the learning.

My moniker is “When one teaches, two learn.” Through decades, upside and down, inside and out, this has been my tagline.
This slogan epitomizes for me, a powerful orientation towards teaching - that when you teach, you are both leading and being led'; both the learned and learner. You’ll find much of this embedded in how I design lesson materials and in reflective journal for teachers - Zen and the Act of Teaching.
Here is a video I produced, a kinda manifesto or anthem that outlines this fundamental of the teacher-learner duality. It is a cry for a humanistic approach to teaching, one where we all are on a learning journey and that embedded in our classroom time together is the spirit that is curiosity, adventure, questioning - the never ended enerved “aliveness” with existence.
It also is a humble approach. Humble in the sense that it respects that what we know is quite unstable, it may change overnight. What’s important isn’t the false destination, temporary truth but rather the spirit of the battle to know, to test, to discern, to keep learning.
And that’s what’s wrong with LLMs (Large Language Models) - they focus not on the journey, the “getting fit” and learning but on facile product and destination.

The Learning Journey.
How much do you have to study to get there? The truth is, there is no there, there. There is no final destination for learning. Learning never stops. There is only a life long, learning journey. To places where your mind will wander and wonder. The things you don’t know will question you. Answer them. Love the challenge. Make a choice, to live a life of constant curiosity. And leave thoughts for others to find and ponder. Because life isn’t about graduating and resting on your laurels. It's about figuring things out. The constant learning. The road of learning is long. Keep going forward. Think for yourself. Speak for yourself. Write your own words. Question technology. It’s your life. It’s your learning. It’s your journey.
