Last week, we introduced some lesson materials for teaching listening skills. Here is another one, new in the Lesson Library.
The Proust Questionnaire is a series of 35 questions to interview someone. It is meant to reveal the “inner person”. Many celebrities have been interviewed and see our playlist - a great source of authentic content.
Get students to listen (turn off the screen) and record the celebs answers. Then check again with the video. See these resources for reading practice.
Also, students can use the questionnaire templates (see below) to interview each other either as who they are or “pretend” celebrities. See some other sample resources in this vein.
Use the PPTx version to review the questions in class together or interview someone at the front of the class (back turned, they can’t see the questions).
It’s a great resource and you might even have students interview their mothers for Mothers’ Day! I did with my own Mom!
