Hi David. Thanks for the infographic. I agree wholeheartedly. Don’t know if you are familiar with Edward de Bono and lateral thinking? He mentions that you have to force your brain to think. It’s in survival mode and lazy to think, exactly what Ai is supporting.
Yes, very familiar with de Bono, it was a crazily popular and influencial book about 20 years back. Always reminded me of something I've been into and written about - synectics. You are correct, intelligence is very much about metaphorical thinking and this kind of thinking that is "out of the box" - think Magrittes, "ceci n'est pas un pipe". And this is anti-thesis both with what Ai does, is designed and most importantly used by people, students.
